Instructor: Rob Davidson

Bainbridge Island, Washington — the birthplace of pickleball.

This summer, come play where it all started. Two camps available | $395 per player | Limited to 24 spots per session

Pickleball was invented here on Bainbridge Island, and there's no better place to elevate your game than the sport's true home. RISE Pickleball's 2-day camp at beautiful Battle Point Park brings together 3.0–3.5 players who are serious about improving — in one of the most scenic and historically significant settings in the entire sport.

Led by USAPA Nationals and US Open Gold Medalist Rob Davidson, this intimate camp is built around one goal: helping you play with more consistency, fewer errors, and a lot more confidence. Whether you're looking to hold your own in league play, build toward tournament competition, or simply enjoy longer, more satisfying rallies — this camp delivers.

What We'll Work On

With 8 hours of focused, on-court instruction, Rob will guide your group through the foundational skills that separate improving players from stuck ones:

  • Dinking with purpose and patience
  • Volleys and transition play
  • 3rd shot drops and drives
  • Partner movement and communication
  • Stroke mechanics — identified through video analysis on Day 1 so you can actually see what needs work

What's Included

  • 8 hours of personal, on-court instruction with a low 1:8 instructor-to-student ratio
  • Video recording and review of your basic strokes on Day 1
  • Snacks provided each day
  • Optional Happy Hour after the final session to unwind and connect with fellow campers
  • The experience of playing pickleball where the sport was born

    The RISE Pickleball Method

Every topic follows the same proven structure: Rob introduces and demonstrates the skill, your group practices it through a purpose-built drill, then applies it immediately in game situations designed to reinforce exactly what you just learned. No theory without practice. No practice without context.

  • What to Know About Getting to Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island is a scenic 35-minute Washington State Ferry ride from downtown Seattle. Most attendees stay overnight on the island or in the Seattle area. We recommend booking accommodations early as summer availability on the island fills quickly.
